Upon completion of the course you will be capable of integrating a range of techniques and technologies to create and deploy a quality web application working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Career Prospects
This program's flexibility allows graduates to move into multiple high-demand roles. 75% of graduates from this course are in employment or further study within six months of graduating.
Graduates from the Software Stream are prepared for roles as Software Engineers, Web Developers,Cloud Computing Developers, Application Developer, Software Tester and Technical Consultant
Those who follow the Networking and Systems Stream can pursue careers as System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Technical Consultants.

Core Modules

After the successful completion of the first year, you will typically progress to the Software Development Stream, focusing on Algorithms, Web Application Development, and Cloud Foundations.
Students will have repeated exposure to programming principles and practices of web development using various technologies.
Subject to sufficient numbers, a Networking & System Administration Stream, may be offered. This stream will focus on developing knowledge and professional expertise in the analysis, design, development, implementation, deployment, maintenance, management and administration of computer networks and computer systems.
Scholarships
DkIT provides a variety of grants and scholarships to help students with their studies. These include both need-based financial aid and merit-based awards. Many students are eligible for the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) Grant, which can cover student contribution fees and provide a maintenance payment. DkIT also offers specific scholarships based on academic or athletic achievements. Targeted funds like the 1916 Bursary Fund and the KickStart Scholarship are available to increase participation from underrepresented groups in higher education. You can also apply for support from the Student Assistance Fund to help with day-to-day costs, such as books, travel, and food.
